Idea Sketch
Before I started the idea sketch I had chosen a musical, which will be my target, and I decided my theme of advert, which is a 'parody'. The reason why I choosing that, I will make a workshop which is related to musicals, thus if the advert would be based on the target musical, it would be more attractive to people.

I chose the musical Lion King, because this is one of my favourites. Moreover, I have already decided to make a advertising with digital drawing, thus if I choose the poster, which were made of drawings, it will be convenient to parody.

I strongly believe that is the best scene in the animation movie Lion King, thus I made a decision to use the silhouette of the scene for my advert.
This picture shows my initial idea sketches. I drew some sketches in my notebook, and I decided the most suitable idea for my advert and parody.
When I sketched on the paper,I considered another musical for my advert, however I did not think it will be good, hence just kept focusing on the Lion King. Moreover, I chose the size of final pieces for each different placements.
Process
1. A4 size poster
Firstly, I placed the idea sketch on Illustrator and drew the silhouettes and background.
As I wrote above the post, the silhouette of glassblower was based on Rafiki who lift Simba(the baby lion) in the picture. Moreover, I added the glassblowing medium.
The Illustrator is good for drawing with a path tool, thus I used this software.
When I painted a background, I used an eye dropper tool, because it can find exactly same colour from the original poster. As it will become a parody poster, I tried to use same colours as much as possible.

To express a stifling hot circumstance in a glass workshop, the free flame image was manipulated for my background of advert. After finishing the drawing, the out put moved on Photoshop, and combined the drawing with the flame image, because Photoshop is good to manipulate images. In addition, I put a logo, which is the same font as the animation Lion King title logo, for a trial. (The font downloadable from 'Da Font', and there every font is free to use.)
This is nearly finished. I put the Disney's logo with my glass studio logo above the advert, because this workshop is related to the Lion King and that is made by Disney. Therefore, it would be very important to notify. Moreover, I also added the little pictogram and contacts below the advert. Through the pictogram and contacts, people can visit or call studio for their asking.
Except the Lion King font, Bodoni and Arial was used for sub title and contacts respectively in the advertising. The reason for choosing is the Bodoni's serif seems to make a good harmony with the Lion King font. Whereas, as a sanserif font, Arial is pleasingly and simple, hence I thought it could be suitable for contacts which include considerable information, because it tends to have a good readability.
This is for a blog post. The contents are almost same as the poster, however I thought the contacts is not important in this version, because the customers could be find the glass studio's information on the Web blog. Thus, I removed the contacts, and put some words to appeal. The concept was inspired from typical musical and movie brochures, because they nomally include five stars with the reviews of the performances or movies, and I thought I will be quite suitable for my parody advert.
3. Instagram size (1080px x 1080 px)
The most noticeable change is, I changed the name of workshop from 'Lion Blowing' to 'Blowing King', because I thought it sounds better and natural. Moreover, I thought there is a similarity of pronounceation between the Lion King[ˈlaɪən kɪŋ] and the Blowing King['bləʊɪŋ kɪŋ] , thus it might sounds intersting.

Due to the advert campaign was quite a long project, I should had managed my time well, because time always passes quickly when I relax my attention.
When I made the idea first time, I had had a difficulty, because it is obvious glass is not really famous field than the others, thus I could not find various information on the Internet or outside. However, my tutors helped and shared their opinions to develop my idea and finally I solved every problems, and I am satisfied with the result.
I hope to practise and study the real glass techniques as soon as possible , rather than to learn glass through the literature. Thus, I hope, it will not finish as an advert, but also be realised in the near future, as soon as possible.
