11. Advertising Campaign - 04
Secondary Research
Before I create an advert, I researched some glass workshop's advertisements which have already existed.
Zen Glass Studio (2017) Women of Glass show February 11th for Sunshine Glass Week [Online image] available from: https://zenglass.com/accessed 8 May 2017
It tends a kind of advertising picture for posting online and looks like a pop art. The poster include numerous information and texts, hence it seems distracting.
Shcherbakova, K (2011) Art glass exhibition poster [Online image] available from: https://www.flickr.com/photos/61387395@N07/6296229374/ accessed 8 May 2017
This is a glass exhibition poster, and through the poster, the originator seems to show the feature of glassblowing.
When I saw the poster first time, I thought it seems like a bubble-blowing, as shown in the following photo.
Aasmyr, H. (nd) Do it yourself: Bubbles [Online image] available form: http://www.webexhibits.org/causesofcolor/13C.html accessed 8 May 2017

Cardoso, A (2016) Seattle Glassblowing - Lesson Walkthrough [Online film] available from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9SA4CSr5Zc accessed 9 May 2017
This glass studio advert tends to be looked simple and clear. It seems to be made of some elements, such as a drawing of glassblower’s shilhouette, the contact address and number of studio and their artwork.
Slow Brun Glass (nd) Glassblowing Classes and Workshops [Online image] Available from: http://www.slowburnglass.com/classes assecced 10 May 2017
Another glass studio advertising poster also seems to be used the feature of glassblowing: literally blowing the glass with a pipe.
The poster can be seen to use the simple but strong colours for contrast and to show glass’s burning intensity.
Even though I have not see every adverts, which are related to glass workshop, I saw quite a
lot of things for my research and idea development. Moreover, through the research I found the most of the adverts, which I have seen online, included the significant feature of glassblowing. Therefore, I thought that could be an useful factor for my advert, and I decided to use that in my advert.
