CINEMA POPCORN PACKAGING DESIGN 

1. Share the Initial ideas and sketches with collegue.

The idea was created by my collegue and me. When we talked about an unique packaging idea, I just said every time I saw a popcorn, it looked like an afro hair. After my coworker heard this idea, she suggested a hilarious packaging for popcorn. She said if the popcorn packaging had a face, people who went to cinema alone, because they did not have a girlfriend or boyfriend, could take a photo with the popcorn packaging wich insteaded of their partners. The idea was thought hilariously, when we heard about that first time. For these reason, we decied to choose this idea and develop.

This popcorn packaging design is good for wrapping by people’s arms around. However, the design can be seen like an old style.

This design can be seen as a collaboration with super hero films. Put their representative imgaes on the surface, thus it can appeal to the public, especially a person who is a big fan of that.

These are general popcorn packaging designs in current society. Most of them are used warm colours, because it makes food look more delicious. Using a bright blue colour on the packaging can be seen not very good. However, using a dark blue seem somewhat much better than former.

ODEON is a famous cinema in the UK, and this picture show about their typical popcorn packaging design for watching a movie in the cinema. The font size and colour are emphasised, for this reason, anybody can see that it is definitely a popcorn packaging.

CGV is the biggest and famous cinema in South Korea. Their packaging seem to quite elegant style for cinema popcorn packaging. In addition, the colours and designs match very well.
